We got a nice surprise this week…It snowed just over a foot in Tahoe on Monday night.Tuesday morning skiers got to enjoy a foot of fresh powder on the ski slopes. By the afternoon the sun was back out and it was absolutely gorgeous with blue skies and white mountains. You’ve got to love springtime in Tahoe!
Town is bustling with visitors, as some northern California schools are enjoying spring break by skiing in Tahoe. Yesterday we had five families stop into our downtown gallery to inquire about purchasing real estate. What I found fascinating was not only that this was busy for aWednesday, but also four of the five families were just starting to seriously explore ownership in Tahoe for the first time. The tone of these prospective buyers was enthusiastic and real. With the fresh snow, clear weather, and school break I anticipate that this weekend will be busy for our real estate market. I look forward to reporting back next week on the impact this has on real estate sales.
Inventory remains low and the selection of quality new listings continues to be limited. There were 47 properties added to the Tahoe Sierra MLS in the last seven days. I have outlined my Top Picks of the Week and the new listings below. Call me to schedule a tour while you’re in town.
